You get to choose to eat from the buffet or order from the menu. The buffet was very varied and delicious. It has a very calm atmosphere, good to have a nice conversation. After eating lunch we went to go to walk around the store they inside the same establishment and then viewed the souvenirs shop upstairs. It was a nice relaxing time.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another fantastic meal at the wonderful Der Dutchman in Sarasota! It’s easy to see why this Amish-style restaurant continues to receive national recognition for its outstanding food. Every dish is fresh, homemade, and absolutely delicious. A special thank you to our server, Tabitha, who made the experience even better. She was friendly, attentive, welcoming, and provided exceptional service from start to finish. Great food is important, but great service is what keeps people coming back—and Tabi Anna truly delivered. If you’re looking for authentic comfort food, generous portions, homemade desserts, and outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend Der Dutchman. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful experience at Der Dutchman in Sarasota. The all-you-can-eat buffet starts at around $22 per adult and offers great value with a variety of homemade Amish-style dishes, comfort food favorites, fresh-baked breads, and delicious desserts. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and super family-friendly—making it a great spot for families, visitors, or anyone looking for a relaxed meal. The bakery is a must-stop for homemade pies, pastries, cookies, and treats to enjoy there or take home. They also offer additional desserts, specialty coffee drinks, teas, and other extras at very reasonable prices. The gift shop is another fun addition with unique gifts, sweets, and specialty items to browse after your meal. A great Sarasota experience for authentic homestyle cooking, generous portions, and a taste of Amish hospitality. We would definitely return! ​I was on the hunt for broasted chicken in Sarasota and stumbled upon this gem! The decor gives you that cozy, Southern country store vibe—think Cracker Barrel, but a bit more elevated and less cluttered, with plenty of neat gifts and treats to buy on your way out. ​They offer both a regular menu and a buffet, and I went with the $20 dinner buffet. The food was good and stayed well-stocked. It was surprisingly busy for a weekday, which was actually a huge plus because the high turnover kept the food fresh and piping hot. ​Shoutout to my server, Tabitha! She provided excellent service, kept the drinks flowing, cleared the table quickly, and had an awesome attitude the whole time. The buffet even includes dessert, but I completely ran out of room. If you’re looking for solid Southern cooking or want to experience broasted chicken, this place is a fantastic value.

Amazing! Had breakfast $14.99 buffet all you can eat. This is a famous Amish kitchen-style restaurant and bakery located in Sarasota, Florida. About Der Dutchman The Concept: It is a massive, highly rated establishment located in Sarasota's Pinecraft neighborhood, a unique community of Amish and Mennonite families. The Food: They are famous for an affordable all-you-can-eat Amish buffet featuring homestyle comfort food like fried ("broasted") chicken, real mashed potatoes, slow-roasted meats, stuffing, and homemade noodles. The Bakery & Gift Shop: Downstairs features a massive bakery with scratch-made pies, giant cinnamon rolls, and pastries. Upstairs houses a local gift shop full of home goods.Acclaim: The restaurant was voted the #1 Best Buffet in America by USA Today readers.
